Made-to-Measure Curtains and Roman Blinds – Terms and Conditions
We want the process of ordering your made-to-measure curtains and Roman blinds to be as straightforward as possible. These terms explain how our made-to-measure service works.
By paying your initial payment, you confirm that you have checked your order details and agree to our Made-to-Measure Terms & Conditions.
1. Your Order
All made-to-measure curtains and Roman blinds are produced specifically to your chosen measurements, fabric and specification.
Please check the details on your order carefully before confirming it, including measurements, fabric, heading or blind style, lining and any other options.
Once your order has been confirmed and materials have been ordered or work has begun, changes may not be possible.
2. Measurements
Where Blue Crocus Textiles Ltd carries out the measuring, we will take responsibility for the measurements we have recorded.
Where measurements are supplied by the customer, it is the customer's responsibility to make sure they are accurate. We cannot accept responsibility for curtains or blinds that do not fit due to incorrect measurements supplied to us.
3. Fabric
Fabric colours can vary slightly between samples, different production batches and how they appear on a screen.
Pattern placement may also vary between individual curtains and blinds. We will always make reasonable efforts to position and match patterned fabrics appropriately.
Natural variations, minor imperfections or characteristics that are considered normal for a particular fabric are not considered faults.
4. Payment
A part payment is required to confirm your order and allow us to order materials and begin work.
The remaining balance will be due before delivery, collection or fitting, unless we have agreed otherwise with you.
Your order is not confirmed until the required deposit has been received.
5. Cancellations
Our curtains and Roman blinds are made specifically to each customer's individual requirements.
Once an order has been confirmed and we have ordered materials or started work, the order cannot normally be cancelled or refunded.
This does not affect your statutory rights if there is a fault with the goods or our service.
6. Lead Times
We will give you an estimated completion time when your order is placed.
As our curtains and Roman blinds are handmade and fabrics or components may need to be ordered from external suppliers, completion dates are estimates rather than guaranteed dates.
We will let you know if we become aware of any significant delay.
7. Roman Blinds
Roman blinds contain cords, chains or other operating components and must be fitted and used in accordance with the supplied child-safety requirements.
Where we fit the blind, the appropriate safety device will be installed where required.
Customers should not remove, alter or disable any safety device fitted to the blind.
8. Fitting
Where fitting is included in your order, we will take reasonable care when working in your home.
The customer should make sure that we have safe and reasonable access to the windows and surrounding area on the agreed fitting date.
Any existing problems with walls, plaster, window frames or other surfaces that could affect fitting should be brought to our attention beforehand.
We cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing defects or weaknesses that are not reasonably visible before fitting begins.
9. Problems with Your Order
If you believe there is a problem with your curtains or Roman blinds, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible so that we can inspect the issue and put things right where appropriate.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
